In Lorenzo’s world, nothing is as it really appears. Everything is transformed, scary humans are replaced by animals, rooms become woods, and courage is translated into the refrain of “Heroes," a song representative of the way the protagonist sees his older brother, initially his only "bridge” to the outside world. Everything Lorenzo likes has warm, reassuring, bright colors; in opposition, moments of discomfort and fear are dark and cold. What the little one lives in is the world created by the bubble of his autism, which prevents him from communicating, isolating him. One day, however, this bubble will be torn open by something new, a small mirror. Thus, when Lorenzo finds the courage to look into it, he sees himself and the world around him without fear, gradually learning to communicate and speak through his reflection, thanks to the help of his friend Sofia and his “superhero” brother Michele.
